Aston University, Birmingham, Close to Completion

 

MJM and BAM Construction are nearing completion of the Aston University Student Village in Birmingham.

The monumental village consists of 8 separate blocks consisting of over 1,200 en-suite student rooms, visitor flats, tutor flats and communal games room.

It gives MJM great pleasure to have been the chosen contractor on the ASV site and is gratifying to know that MJM have been a part of something so prominent in the centre of Birmingham City.

 

Northampton College, Booth Lane Campus Choose MJM

 

 MJM are jubilant to have secured their second Northampton College project within a year.

After an extremely successful decorating package was carried out at the Lower Mounts Campus in 2009/2010 MJM have been chosen to carry out decorating works to the new Booth Lane Campus development in 2010/2011.

It gives MJM great peasure in knowing that the company will leave its mark on such prestigious and popular developments such as the Northampton College for years to come.

 

MJM Secure New Tresham College Contract for BAM Construction

 

MJM have secured the decoration package at Treshem College, Corby. MJM have won their second project in the midlands division for BAM off of the back of the successful Grace Academy in Coventry.

MJM are gratified to be providing decorating services to more and more local projects after over two decades of providing  our services to London and the South East.

 

MJM Win New Health & Safety Award

 

MJM are delighted to announce that Director, Mick McCarthy has collected yet another H & S award for the BAM Midlands division for works carried out at Grace Academy, Coventry. 

 

MJM Receive New Environmental Wash System

 

MJM are thrilled to have updated their current filtered cleansing tank system with the brand new solar powered environmental wash system from Dulux.

The sytem is lightweight and easy to transport to any of our future contracts and is made from heavy gauge plastic and aluminium, so will not rust.

It is the world's first recycling system run completely from solar power which alone is a superb eco-friendly way to run machinery.

The system will enable MJM to wash out employee's decorating tools and discard un-used paint which will harden to a safe and environmentally friendly material ready for recycling. The water that has been used to clean out our tools and paint is then filtered and can be used up to 10 times over.

 

 

 

 MJM Win Great Ormond Street Hospital Package

 

MJM (Painters & Decorators) Ltd. can confirm that BAM Construction Ltd have appointed them as the approved subcontractor to carry out all aspects of the decoration package at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

The project will span over a minimum of a 12 month period and the decorating package alone is worth £1,200,000 and involves the use of specialist materials and eco-friendly products.

 

 

Northampton College, Lower Mounts

 

   MJM (Painters & Decorators) Ltd. have been successful in their bid to become the preferred decorating subcontractor at the new Northampton College building in the Lower Mounts region of Northampton.

The College will relocate its Hair & Beauty salon and will also incorporate a haute cuisine training restaurant facility.

MJM are proud to use their expert services to help their local community.

 

 

Ashmolean Museum Project Comes To An End

 

MJM (Painters & Decorators) Ltd. have completed their vast project at The Ashmolean Museum In Oxford.

MJM had first attended site way back in the summer of 2008 to apply the water tight floor covering to all tank room floors. The project comes to an end after a very satisfying 19 month period.

The work included the redecoration of the 1845 Cockerell Building, is set over 5 floors and consists of 39 new galleries and The Ashmolean Dining Room, Oxfords first rooftop restaurant.
